Just follow these steps

1. Open notepad in your computer

2. Type the following: X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

3. Go to file menu and go to save as and choose all files and try to give the file name as EICAR.COM and save it.

4. If your Virus Guard is working properly it will show as a Virus.
